This course introduces basic design principles, common types of found timber, woodworking tools, and techniques for working with wood and will result in a quality object that your friends will be jealous of. At the end of this class you will take home a beautiful coffee table or a small bench that you’ve made yourself from recycled timber. You will also have new wood working skills and the confidence to undertake your own woodworking projects in the future.
The timber provided is sourced from local demolition yards. It’s a combination of Australian hardwoods and North American soft woods.
Timber, other supplies and materials for your small table or bench are included in the course price. If you chose to work on a larger project there will be extra material available at an additional cost payable directly to the teacher.
