New to ceramics or feeling a little rusty? Book into our 4-session beginners ceramics course. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to key ceramics techniques including throwing, trimming, hand-building and glazing. At the end of the course you will have 3-4 finished pieces. Once you have taken this course you can hone your new skills in our $39, 2-hour Returning Student Ceramics Sessions.

This hand-building class introduces a broad approach to building functional clay objects. In this class you will:
This is the last step, put the final touches on your pieces with a layer of glaze. In this class you will learn:
COLLECTING YOUR WORK:
Once your pieces have been glaze fired (usually within 2 weeks of your last class), you can come pick them up. You will end this class with 3 or 4 beautiful and functional pots.
The class fee includes 8 hours tuition, materials, glazes and firing.
RETURNING STUDENTS – $45*
Once you have taken this introductory 4-session class(or if you’ve completed our old 3 class series), you can return for individual 2 hour pottery sessions as many times as you want, to continue honing your skills. Book into any available Returning Student Ceramics Session and work on your new projects!
Refunds: MakerSpace requires a minimum of 5 days (or 120 hour) notice in writing to receive a 75% refund for change of mind. If you miss this window, we recommend you gift (or sell) your place to someone who will use it and love it. Class places are fully transferable. Email email@example.com
Cancellations: We rarely cancel classes, but occasional things come up beyond our control. Our classes are very small to ensure you have a great learning experience, but we need a minimum of 4 students to run most of our classes. If a class is cancelled, we will get in touch by phone or email, and discuss your options which include refund, credit or transfer to another date.
Kids in classes: MakerSpace classes are designed for adults. Kids aged 14-17 can book this class on the condition that an accompanying adult also participates – which means booking two places. If you have questions about kids in the workshop, please read this.
