*A FEW NOTES: Tutored Sessions are available to anyone. In order to become a Resident (Casual or Studio Resident) you must first attend a Tutored Session, and then submit an application so our Techs can asses your suitability for the program. Residents join us for a minimum of 4 months. If you want one month only, it’s $350. Most equipment is covered in the Tutored Session inductions. Some equipment takes a little longer to master, and subsequently requires booking a paid class (for example welding) if you are not already proficient. Also note: Some equipment incurs additional usage fees, for example welding, ceramics firing and laser-cutting to cover operating costs. Prices are subject to change 🙂
We are currently at capacity with Memberships. If you are keen to use our facilities, please add your details to our waitlist and we will be in touch.
Come on in! Check out the facilities (open hours) and have a chat with us about what you want to do. You’ll need to allow 1 hour for a welcome/intro session before you start making, then you can get cracking. It’s that easy! Welcome Sessions (inductions) are run Mondays at 2pm, and Saturdays at 11am.
We provide a place to make – our 1200sqm warehouse with machinery, tools and specialist workspaces (including ceramics, metal, wood, textiles and print-making). Join a community of designers, inventors, engineers, skilled craftspeople, graduates, entrepreneurs and the creatively curious – and make something.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Makers use our space and machinery like a gym. We’ll show you how to safely use our gear and then you can drop in whenever you want to work on your projects.
WHAT CAN I DO AT MAKERSPACE? Create, prototype, batch-produce, fabricate, manufacture, fix, experiment, play or run your maker-business – whatever you like! Come and use our huge range of machinery and tools for your projects.
WHO CAN USE THE MAKERSPACE? Everyone! You can drop in when you need to, whether it’s to pursue your design career, fulfil your making passions and hobbies, complete a DIY project with that tool you don’t have at home or to prototype a new idea.
